The hinges on the old door at Ground Zero moan the Blues, down at the Crossroads.

Scene: Sitting on the couches that litter the front porch of Ground Zero. Just to the left of "The Door", are a group of Hollywood Types, talking "biz".

I wanted to do a concept movie about a door. Not just any door would do. It had to be alive in some way.

While down in Clarksdale, Mississippi enjoying the 23rd Annual Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival, and testing out the, Flip HD video, for the very first time, I found the right door.

Shortly after covering a wrestling match in Huntingdon, Tennessee, "The Modern Pamphleteer" found itself at a Main St. park in Memphis, Tennessee. The park is nicknamed "Squirrel Park" for a good reason. The friendly, entertaining squirrels earned it!

 

I'm sure the feed link for your YouTube account is somewhere in the Help archives of YouTube, but I decided to look for it on-line by doing a Google on it. From the results I got, it seemed like some secret-mysterious code that a select few that got honored with PageRank™ seemed to possess. Maybe it worked for them and maybe that was code to embed into a website's HTML.

But I use templates and wanted the ".rss" link.

I found one that works for me, here it is. (just replace "user-name" with your YouTube channel's name.)

I almost got killed getting this video! Trust me, when the man at the end said, "I'd kill for forty", I'm not sure if he meant $40 or a 40 oz. beer! Either way I knew he was serious because this just wasn't any bar in just any ordinary place. This is a real-deal authentic juke joint that when you enter, you're in Bluesville!

I'll set you up for the beginning of the video. It was a little after 2am on a Sunday morning, I had attended a Blues festival and was looking for some late night action, when Blues really started to be played and I wondered into this world-famous club looking for some Blues action. I asked the two gentlemen in the beginning of the video for permission to YouTube and they replied that they didn't, but they were not the owner. I said, "All right, I'll just film until I meet the owner." I did at the end of the video. The title to of of this video comes when the drummer says, "He's filming for prosterity". I know it is spelled posterity, but Bluesville has its own lingo.

 

Trying to skirt the words "under construction" as to the reason why there is no decent navigation to the site yet. Just started putting it together.

This is where I courteously ask you to "come back soon". It's a blog, a blog I look forward to giving life to by posting some of my favorite videos and adding a little extra that is not in the YouTube video's details section.
